Even if you do sign up with any of these pricy service to get your site “ranked high” in listings, you still need great content to keep people on your site and keep them coming back for more. Just like any other “get rich quick” scheme (or in this case “get listed quick” scheme), this one your friend encountered is definitely flawed. Like you said, most people can either learn how to do it on their own, or hire an expert. Both are much better options than using any of the “get listed quick” services. Yeow … I mean, ouch!
